SocialFi
XO's SocialFi layer turns authentic social activity into verifiable, on-chain economic value. We don't reward clicks or check-ins — we reward conversations that real humans actually have with each other, and we make the algorithm transparent enough that anyone can audit the outputs.
The Stack
Identity → Behavior → Reward
XOUL SBT Aura earn events XOXO claim (Solana Merkle)
(Proof of (Proof of (pull-based, gas paid
Personhood) Social Liveness) by claimant)| Layer | What it answers | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| XOUL — Proof of Personhood SBT | Is this a real, unique human? | Account-bound SBT, queryable via XO Protocol |
| Aura & Earn | Is this human authentically active? | Weekly seasons, 7-tier ranking, in-app benefits |
| Proof of Social Liveness | Is the activity real, not bot-farmed? | Scoring algorithm; outputs Merkle-committed on Solana |
| Aura Earn Events | What counts and what penalizes? | Full event taxonomy from the production xo-aura system |
| Decentralized Identity | How is identity composed across attestations? | DID framework underpinning XOUL |
Why This Matters
Most "Web3 social" reward systems are spreadsheets — operators control the score, distributions are opaque, and the only thing on-chain is the final token transfer. That makes the whole system trust-based, the very thing crypto was supposed to fix.
Aura inverts this:
- Per-season Merkle roots committed on Solana — once committed, no one (including XO) can alter who gets what
- Pull-based claims — XO never custodies user rewards; users sign and pay their own gas
- Public dashboards — Dune tracks every commit, every claim, every per-season distribution
The result: a reward system where the algorithm and outcomes are fully auditable, without exposing any user's personal data.
